Yeah its got alot of extra features butr like anything you dont use every day your going to have to read the instructions to use them. As for it wasting tape. Yeah i can see that. But if you set your margins to the smalles setting and instead of printing one label at a time just print them all at once the only wasted tape is at the begining. Not a HUGE DEAL. As for battery usage. Who cares. It has a 7-9 voly port for a wall plug. For 15 bucks you can get a wall charger and plug it in. If you need it outside of the house than use the batteries. This is my secont P touch. The first one was a pc direct which didnt work at all. This one im completely satisfied with and would recommend it for the basic user who just want to labe files in there filing cabinet or just basic stuff around the house shed or garage.
